As an approved Gateway for the Government’s new Kickstart Scheme, we are delighted to have supported 100 young people into job placements under the scheme giving them the opportunity to build new skills and gain experience to support sustainable employment.
The Kickstart Scheme, announced by the Chancellor of Exchequer, Rishi Sunak in July of last year, and managed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) provides 6-month job placements for young people and gives employers the opportunity to ‘build back better’. The Real Apprenticeship Company is one of a few national Gateways who work directly with employers to offer vacancies that will help grow and sustain businesses who have been hit the hardest through lockdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We also work with employers and the young people on placements providing support through mentoring, careers advice, employability skills, well-being and pastoral care.
As the Kickstart Scheme gathers momentum we are confident that we will be supporting many more young people and businesses across the UK and look forward to reaching our next mile stone of 100 Kickstart Jobs.
